Case description
- The donor was a 37 year old man.
- The graft will consist of segments II and III, and a portion of segment IV, leaving in the donor the caudate lobe, middle hepatic vein, and most of segment IV.
- The transection plane will extend from the groove between the middle and left hepatic veins, and course approximately 1 centimetre to the right of the falciform ligament, staying medial to the gall bladder fossa.
- The graft volume was carefully calculated to be adequate for the intended pediatric recipient, while maintaing safety for the donor.
