Case description
  • A 60-year-old female presented with hepatocellular carcinoma in the right lobe of a non-cirrhotic liver.
  • Resection of segments I, V, VI, VII, VIII, and a portion of segment IVa was performed, along with division of the left hepatic vein, inferior vena cava, and right atrium of the heart. Watch Part I here.
  • In situ cold perfusion and veno veno bypass will continue to run during reconstruction of the cava and left hepatic vein.
  • The cava will be reconstructed with a PTFE graft followed by reconstruction of the left hepatic vein.
